OpenJDK
Recently, as I came across Vaibhav Sir’s blog, where he blogs about everything related to Java. Most importantly, I saw a series of posts related to “Building OpenJDK using NetBeans on Windows/Solaris“.
As I’m a Windows User, I would stick to the options that would help me build the OpenJDK on my system.
Firstly, building on Windows, is a tough nut to crack, as their are so many pre-requisites before I can build this huge project.
As OpenJDK 6 is now not taking any contributions, lets start off then with OpenJDK 7. Refer to this, OpenJDK Build Readme. Have a look at it with a cool mind as this is the basic step needed to be taken, before you leap to a new high.
